<h2>Real Options</h2>
<p>
Real Options is a decision-making process for managing uncertainty and risk. It's a simple and powerful approach that helps us make better informed decisions by understanding and responding to the psychological effects uncertainty has on our behaviour, both as individuals and in groups.

<h2>Nine Boxes</h2>
<p>
The Nine Boxes is an interview technique from the "<a href="http://www.solutionselling.com" target="_blank">Solution Selling</a>" sales process. It helps us to discover what the <EM>real</EM> problem of the customer is, to find out who is affected by the problem and to co-create a vision of the future with all those affected by the problem. At the end of such interviews we have a deeper understanding of our customer and they are enthusiastic to participate in a project to solve their problems. We have everything we need to start writing user stories.

<h2>I'm not a Bottleneck! I'm a free man!</h2>
<p>
The Theory of Constraints offers a simple but effective process improvement process: the "5 focusing steps". The 5 steps consist of continuously
<ul><li> making the goal of the system explicit
<li> finding the bottleneck where the system's constraint lies
<li> exploiting the constraint to get the most value
<li> subordinating every decision to the constraint
<li> elevating the bottleneck
</ul>
<p>
The session introduces the theory with a playful simulation. After the simulation, participants apply the techniques to real-world cases in a workshop.

<STRONG>Pascal Van Cauwenberghe</STRONG>
<p>
Pascal Van Cauwenberghe is a consultant based in Brussels who tries to solve more problems than he causes. To do this, he uses Agile, Lean, Theory of Constraints and Systems Thinking techniques.
<p>
He's one of the founders of the <a href="http://www.xp.be" target="_blank">Belgian XP group</a> and one of the organizers of <a href="http://www.xpday.net" target="_blank">XP Days Benelux</a>. One day he and Vera Peeters invented the "<a href="http://www.xp.be/xpgame" target="_blank">XP Game</a>", because they couldn't explain XP to their team and customers. They've learned that games are an ideal way to learn. Since then he tries to transform work into play...
<p>
Pascal Van Cauwenberghe essaie de résoudre plus de problèmes qu'il n'en crée. Pour cela il utilise des méthodes issues de l'agile, du Lean, de la théorie des contraintes, du Systems Thinking notamment.
<p>
